1. Lack of Participation/missed deadlines
All members are equally responsible to contribute their assignments on timely manner. The team leader will send a weekly reminder regarding progression of work. If a member is not able to find resources, he/she needs to communicate to the team leader or the team members ahead of time so that other members will accommodate him or her to complete the assignment. All members will try their best to complete the assignment on time.
2. Lack of communication All members need to understand their responsibilities and contributions. If there are communication gaps, the team leader will let other members know and try to find out the cause to resolve the issue on timely manner.
3. Project outlines/development In a team, all members will discuss how to write, organize, and present the project on timely manner. All participants will be treated fairly, and their opinions will be equally considered to contribute to the assignment.
4. Conflicts resolutions All team members’ conflicts will be resolved correctly and respectfully within a group. There is always a team leader, who is a chain of command. The leader will facilitate where and when to meet to resolve the issue so that work will be completed on time.
5.Schedule conflicts If a member of the team is not able to make a group meeting, he or she needs to communicate directly to the team leader or communicate via course-shell/text/email so that everybody will be on the same page to complete the task on time.
Section C, Team Goals: This section lists the team’s goals and potential barriers that might prevent achieving them.
Team Goals Potential Barriers & Plan to Manage
1. Meet all deadlines in a timely manner
Sometimes emergency situations may occur and the participant may not be able to complete the task on the deadlines. Team leader will be responsible to contact the individual who is not able to complete. After that team leader will let the team members know the reason behind the unaccomplished work, and rest of the members will try to complete that task.
2. Equal participation and contribution from all the members All team members are responsible to contribute their work equally. Some team members may not have knowledge about the project. Some have vast knowledge regarding the project and the research. They can help others to find the resources and guide to complete the presentation.
3. A barrier could potentially be poor planning. All team members should take the time to plan exactly what needs to be done and how they intend to do it. The group leader should know every team member's way of approaching the project and determine if the plan they have in place is what is best for the team and project completion.
Section D, Project Plan: This section will include the team plan.
Discuss the team’s process to designate the team leader and outline the responsibilities the team gives the team leader (include submitting required assignments).
Keyla volunteered as team leader. All team members were assigned parts the by team leader. Everyone will report back to her when parts are done or if there are any issues. Team leader and other team members are all able to see each other progress through the use of Google docs. Team leader will also submit assignments in for the team once deadlines have been met. Team leader will follow up will all team member and assist where she can.
Create a timeline for completion and submission of assignment components to Team Leader
● Starting week two, all team members will have their own assignments to be completed, and they are responsible to update their progress to the team leader and members.
● In week two, all members of the team will focus on gathering information about the topic via credible sources.
● In week three, each member will be responsible to gather information and outlining the research according to the assigned topic.
● In week four and week five, each member will make presentation slides (may be three to four), speaker notes on each slides, and cite sources according to his or her topic.
● In week six, all team members are responsible to share their assigned PowerPoint slides to the group leader (may be editor) for proof reading and compiling the slides together. After compilation of the slides, team leader will share the slide to the group for corrections and/or recommendations. At the end of the week six, the team leader will upload the assignment to the dropbox, and other members will also upload the copy of the assignment to their dropbox if necessary.
