Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
refers to people whose cognitive abilities are in a conditional state between normal again and dementia. It's normal to forget a person's name or the location of an object but MCI residents have trouble with short term memory loss. MCI is a state in which at least one cognitive function (usually short term memory) is impaired to a greater extent than normal for that age. besides short term memory loss, no other symptoms of dementia (language problems, judgment problems, behavior/ personality problems) affect the person's daily functioning.
Nonambulatory Person
a person who is unable to leave a building unassisted under emergency conditions. They depend on medical aids or they can't respond/ take appropriate action unassisted

Whenever any regulation specifies that provision be made for or that there be provided any service, personel or other requirement, it means that is the resident is not capable of doing so himself, the licensee shall do so directly or present evidence satisfactory to the licensing agency of the particular arrangement by which another provider in the community will do so
