Instructions
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS!
1. The course calendar spells out the due dates and times for this exam. You must complete the
exam before the due date and time.
2. This exam is worth 120 points, with all points coming from numerical calculation and essay
questions.
3. Some questions will require you to draw out information on a sheet of paper, to be scanned and
submitted.
4. To prepare, have several sheets of blank paper ready. Put your name and last 4 digits of your
PSU ID number on the top of each page.
5. Show your work.
6. Once you have completed that question, scan your page(s) for that question, save the file on your
computer (PDF format) and then upload it.
7. Once you begin you will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the questions and submit
your answers. You must complete the exam in one sitting.
8. When time expires, your exam will be automatically submitted, even if you have not uploaded
your answers.
9. The clock will start when you begin and will continue to run even if you go back to another page
or log out of Canvas. Please don't begin the exam unless you have the full 2 hours and 30
minutes to complete it!
10. You will be able to review your exam five days after the exam ends. The review period will last
seven days.
11. You are allowed to use your own notes, your textbook, and the course materials during the exam.
You may not use Google or any other person as a resource.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTES:
1. Use a wired connection when taking the exam to avoid possible dropped internet connections. If
you lose your internet connection some of your answers may not be saved.
2. Take the exam on a laptop or desktop machine rather than a tablet or other portable device such
as a phone.
3. Use only Canvas supported browsers (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-1284)
when taking the exam.
