The assignment involves the following tasks:
1. Form a group of 4 students.
2. Select an existing business organization (domestic or international).
3. Working as a group, identify ONE(1) issue experienced by the chosen organization on each of these areas:
Employee Motivation
Leadership
Note:
You must identify 1 issue for each area mentioned above
Some examples of issues are:
poor productivity, high absenteeism, poor peer-superior relationship, poor management of resources, inappropriate worker’s behavior, inefficient systems and processes, etc. (1 issue/area, so TWO(2) issues in total to be identified)
4. Based on your findings write a report of 2500 words. Your report should include the following:
a. Introduction. This is a brief outline of the content of the report.
b. Detail description of each issue. Each issue identified must be related to the theories and concepts relevant to those TWO(2) topics: Motivation & Leadership
c. Possible causes of the issues. Support your explanations of the causes with relevant information and facts obtained from articles referred to in journals, business magazines, and/or newspapers.
d. ONE(1) recommendations on how to resolve the issues. Each recommendation must be supported with relevant OB theories and concepts that you have learned in this module. You need to provide detailed explanations and examples to justify your recommendations.
