Since 2007, Mondelēz International’s corporate strategy has evolved significantly to include partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, diversification of products and expansion into different markets (internationalization), the segmentation of its global market, and division of its products, and efficiency in marketing and distribution. Mondelēz corporate strategy is designed to ensure the continued growth and development of the company. To start with, the company has entered into different mergers/acquisitions, expanded into markets across the world, and diversified its products significantly. The approaches adopted align with the corporate strategy. As part of the strategy, Mondelēz exploits its powerful brands of snack foods sold across the 165 countries to ensure the achievement of its objectives. The strategies implemented to support the corporate strategy have improved the company’s competitiveness across different countries through the wide range of products. Mondelēz International’s expansion of its product line and a focus on consumer-centric growth, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a development of a competitive and winning growth culture promote its position at the world stage. The acquisitions, diversification, and expansion played a significant role in brand expansion especially in the snack categories.
