Introduction
The Getta Byte Software team has a need to improve the existing billing software system by implementing a completely new online billing software system that will ensure
accuracy. The current manual system has inaccuracies in their data entries and is also extremely time consuming. With inaccurate data it can put the company at risk which is why the manual system must be replaced. The Getta Byte Software project’s goal is to replace the current manual billing system with an online software that is more accurate, easy to use and has a fast data entry system. A project team consisting of a project manager, CEO, CFO, finance, billing, and customer service will work together to ensure that the project is successful. With the success of the new online billing software project billing cycles could be reduced by 30% and should use 25% less in labor as well as having dynamic report generation and speeding up transactions and response times. The first pilot will be complete by September 1st, development and testing complete by August 15th with the final release to be completed on September 10th. The teams spending cap is at $250,000 on this project.
The project manager Ima Payne will put together a team and assign tasks within the project for completion. Ima will be carrying out the entire project from start to finish. All team members will be responsible for their tasks and ensure they are completed with accuracy. The project manager will ensure communication between the team remains effortless. As the project continues to progress and develop both internal and external factors may pose challenges and risks to the project. On risk that has been identified as an external factor is the potential of network issues when transferring data to the new system. Having a network problem would definitely have an effect on the speed of data being transferred.
