CARTRIDGE CASE
A container assembly designed to hold an ammunition primer and propellant to which a bullet maybe affixed
PROPELLANT
A low explosive substance of fine granulation which through burning, produce gasses at a controlled rate to provide the energy to propell bullet/missile
PRIMER
An assembly which ignites the propellant.
BULLET
A projectile fired or intended to be fired from small arms weapon
CENTER FIRE
The primer is located in a small well or socket, in the center of the cartridge case head.
RIM FIRE

GRENADES
Small, offensive or defensive munitions, originally designed to be thrown by hand but is now also designed to be projected from rifles, special launchers and dispensing munitions.
TYPES OF GRANADES
GRENADE,HAND, GRENADE,RIFLE
GRENADE,HAND
Thrown by the user, supplements small arms in close combat. It produces fragments, blast, screening smoke and irritating gasses and incendiary effect
GRENADE, RIFLE
Is projected by a specially designed blank cartridge from a standard army rifle equipped with a grenade launcher or adapter. Used against enemy tanks and for screening and signaling purposes, it covers ranges between the maximum for hand grenades and the minimum for mortar projectiles.
TYPES OF HAND GRENADES
FRAGMENTATION, OFFENSIVE, ILLUMINATING, CHEMICALS, PRACTICE/TRAINING
FRAGMENTATION
These grenades are used to produce casualties by high velocity projection fragments.
OFFENSIVE
type of hand granade Are used for blast effect
ILLUMINATING
type of hand granade Used to provide illumination to terrain and targets
CHEMICALS
type of hand granade Used for riot control,, incendiary, smoke (screening, signaling) practice and incapacitating purposes [Show Less]
