Question 2
Needs Grading
From the article “Why Care About History” by Jerry Solomon, list and describe at
least three reasons why Christians should care about history. Give a one-sentence
description to explain each of the three reasons.
Selected
Answer:
One of the reason given is because the Bible contains history. one of the examples given for
this is Gen. 1.1, which gives the first historical event as the world was created by God.
another reason is because Jesus took history seriously. Jesus used proverbs, and past lessons,
to teach his followers way God thinks the why he does what he does (out of love) as well as to
teach them lessons and history of the world. If you don't learn from the past, you will continue
to make the same mistakes in the present.
a 3rd reason is because history touches our lives. we are link to the past, it is where we come
from and how we are able to move forward. without the past society may not be where it is
today in developments as well as culture.
