Can adults take this course? - ANSWER-Yes, as long as you've never held a driver license in Florida, another state, or another county, you're required to take a TLSAE course before applying for a Florida driver license.

Do TLSAE students need a parent to meet their drivers ed requirements? - ANSWER-If you're under the age of 18 and not married, you'll need a parent or a legal guardian to sign off on the Parental Consent form that you turn in when you get your permit and your driver's license (no stepparents, unless they've legally adopted you).
If you're 18 years old or older, you don't need a parent to meet your drivers ed requirement.

What happens if a student fails verification once? - ANSWER-They get kicked back to the beginning of the level - this is per state law and we had to put these rules in place in order to get our course approved. If we didn't have to do it, we wouldn't have but unfortunately these are Florida's rules for online courses.
Do students need to schedule an appointment at the Driver License Office to get their permit? - ANSWER-If they've taken the state written exam with Aceable (separate from the TLSAE course) they don't need to make an appointment to get their permit.

If a student takes the state written test at the Driver License Office and fails, can they take it again? - ANSWER-Yes. It'll be $10 for every retake.
How long does a student need to hold their permit before getting their license? - ANSWER-12 months
When does the 12 month period start? - ANSWER-The day the student gets their permit
Do TLSAE students need to complete any behind-the-wheel practice or instruction hours before getting their license? - ANSWER-The state of Florida requires 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice (10 of which must be done at night). There are no restrictions in terms of the number of hours students can drive per day.
Even if students complete 50 hours before the 12 months are up, they still have to wait the entire 12 months.
Adults don't need to do any behind-the-wheel.
Can a student take behind-the-wheel lessons with a school instead of with their parents? - ANSWER-Yes. Students can do behind-the-wheel lessons with adults who are at least 21 years old and have a valid license, or with a driving school of their choice.
Do students need to log their behind-the-wheel hours? - ANSWER-No
What are the restrictions for someone with a permit? - ANSWER-In the first three months, students are only allowed to drive during daylight hours.
After the first three months, students can only drive between 6 am and 10 pm.
Students must always be accompanied by a licensed adult who is at least 21 years old.
