Adolescent Challenges
INTRODUCTION
Adolescence is one of the most exciting and vibrant times of life, but it is also a time of
confusion and depression. During this period from development to maturity, young people face
many challenges and are very sensitive to their social environment. This paper describes the
impact of challenges on family and peer relationships and how they affect physical health,
mental adaptation, and academic performance.
Family Relationships
Psychological Adaptation (Mental Health)
Adolescents often deny family dependence. You may not understand the importance of having
your own family mental and physical support. The adolescent brain is extremely sensitive to
changes in the environment and is constantly coordinating to organize new information.
According to Sisck and Zher (2005), "Neural changes that occur during puberty open the
window for susceptibility to hormonal tissues, and such hormone-dependent tissues crystallize or
gel the neural circuits and reduce neuroplasticity. It will remain open indefinitely until you bring
it. Point forward ”(p.169). This quote explains that the adolescent brain cannot recover mentally
from the experience of having a great impact on the mind. This is why teenagers often
experience seemingly small problems as life-changing events, which they always remember and
often affect their behavior until adulthood. This could also be the reason why teenagers always
remember their first love or first kiss in event details. Therefore, a strong family relationship with
support plays a major role in helping teenagers deal with everyday challenges, whether they want
to admit it or not. [Show Less]
