INTRODUCTION
Constructivism is a psychological and intellectual philosophy that argues that individuals makeup or construct
up much of what they know and understand. (Bruning et al., 2004). Instead of seeing knowledge as reality, it is
seen by constructivists as a working hypothesis. Information is not forced on people outside but instead
created within them. Constructions of a person are valid to that person but not really to anyone else. It is
because people in circumstances generate information based on their values and experiences, which vary from

I believe that I use the approach of constructivism in my l sson. Because I try to give a
reference from what they have learned in their previous g ades and lessons and how this topic
is related and/or different from what you were taught before. I curr ntly teach general science
to the middle section of a Cambridge affiliat d school. I gene ally start my lesson by asking
topic. I ask them some studygeneralquestionsviandthen slowly move towards the main topic.
After that I discuss the new terms that need to be studied, explain to them the new topic, and even
write on the board. Then I o some brainstorming with the students concerning the fresh
during thatThisI ask them different questions that are related to the previously learned
topics.
Then, I write briefshared notes on the board for the students to copy.
If there is any experiment related to the topic than that is performed. Generally, I start the
experiment by asking them what they are expecting while looking at the apparatus. After
taking their answer I ask them separately the function of each apparatus being used.
