Hi there
Based on the work that has been done on this module ( all lecture and support documents at attachments and also examples Reflective Essay ) it
... [Show More] is required to give an account of learning through a Reflective Essay (1500 words -/+ 10%). The report should be written in the first person. It should also be Harvard referenced throughout.
Reflect on each teaching week’s topic/teaching activities on sustainability. Based on your reflection, you are required to contribute to the module’s forum on Canvas. You should give your individual learning, knowledge, and understanding of the topics that were covered. Your reflective topic should be presented in thematic areas covered in the module with the inclusion of case examples. No less than three themes should be covered.
These thematic areas can include:
Businesses in supply chains and environment (including manufacturing, retail, service, etc), people climate change and government policies, strategic
purchasing in supply chain (market share, performance, etc), supplier relationships and how that impacts supply chains.
At the end of the trimester, you are expected to compile your individual contributions on the forum to one reflection document. You can make use of Gibbs reflective cycle to show evidence of learning through personal reflection. Your writing must incorporate Gibbs model diagrammatically. Based on your reflection, you can make strategic recommendations for legislation and management practices about the issue of sustainability.
The adoption of academic journal references to support your arguments for this reflection would be useful. The sources used to support your reflection must be adequately referenced.
By successfully completing this report you will have met learning outcomes (LO3 and LO4) for this module:
LO3: Critically discuss how legislation and management practices can limit the environmental impact of supply chains.
LO4: Evaluate supply chain sustainability practices from contemporary case studies, also through reflection.
Additional guidance (for your final reflection document)
Gibbs' Reflective Cycle was developed by Graham Gibbs in 1988 to give structure to learning from experiences. It offers a framework for examining experiences, and given its cyclic nature lends itself particularly well to repeated experiences, allowing you to learn and plan from things that either went well or didn’t go well. It covers 6 stages:
• Descriiption of the experience (your experience of this module)
• Feelings and thoughts about the experience (lessons from sustainability)
• Evaluation of the experience, both good and bad (positives and challenges)
• Analysis to make sense of the situation (linking to relevant aspects of business practice, legislation, and society)
• Conclusion about what you learned and what you could have done differently
• Action plan suggestion a plan or general changes you might find appropriate for dealing with sustainability issues in supply chains
please make sure to see the two example at the attachments
