Prof and Class,
This course has provided me with a significant amount of personal growth and development as a leader. I now have a better understanding of the leader I currently am and the opportunities for growth. Reflection of learning outcomes provides additional growth and development (Goulet, Larue, & Alderson, 2016). The two assignments that I feel have provided me with the most learning this course are the assignments from week 5 and week 7. The assignments from week 5 supported my learning of course outcomes 2, 3, and 5. The assignments from week 7 supported my learning of course outcomes 1 and 4. The assignments in week 5 provided me with keen insights on what a culture of excellence is and how leadership significantly impacts the promotion and sustainability of a culture of excellence. A culture of excellence is dependent upon nurse leaders promoting safe, efficient, ethical, high quality, and person-centered care and cultivating healthful work environments. These assignments in week 5 also provide me with the opportunity to reflect on my organization and how I as a leader support a culture of excellence and opportunities for growth. The assignments in week 7 supported my learning for course outcomes 1 and 4 by providing me with the opportunity to examine leading and managing change through the system levels and how effective leadership promotes change that is sustainable.

Thank you for sharing how this course supported your growth and development as a leader and a nurse educator. You did a great job summarizing how each course objective was met with the assignments and the learning you gained from those assignments and objectives. Throughout this course, the focus was on developing our personal leadership style and identifying strategies to become successful leaders. I personally feel this course has provided me with significant insights into leadership and reading your post reminded me of the learning I gained on self-care and its significance to leadership. I intend to use the knowledge gain from this course in my current role and in my future role as a leader.
