30 points A 42-year-old Mrs. Z reports with a medical background suggesting asthma. The amusing athlete woman expresses that for the past eight months, she has been under an albuterol rescue, which she uses 4 times every week. She has even had four scheduled visitations for mild flares. Yet, the symptoms have not left her as she has been experiencing them when she wakes up, at least thrice ever month. From the physical assessment of Mrs. Z, it is discovered that she is suffering from a poorly managed asthma. An extensive work-up is embarked on the conformation of the diagnosis, assessment for commodities, and consideration of diverse therapeutic options (Hebda, Hunter, Czar, 2005). She is diagnosed with refractory asthmatic condition. It is recommended that she is undergoes bronchial thermoplasty to manage her asthma.
Given the challenge that comes with managing refractory asthma, Mrs. Z is in need of patient education not only on how to manage her condition but also on the appropriate mHealth app to use for her condition and how to use it. She is willing and ready to learn and she indicates that she learns best in the morning hours between 0800-1200hrs. Besides, she is well informed about the technological milestones in healthcare such as EMRs and mHealth app. She has a personal laptop and has no problem using technology to learn.

The purpose of any mHealth App is to provide immediate linkage between the patients and the experts responsible for caring for their needs (Kagen, & Garland, 2019). Mrs. Z will be advised to use Allergy Alert Mobile App. This is a standalone app owned by IQVIA and can freely be downloaded from www.iqvia.com/. The latest redesign on the app added features such as allergy diary and five days of allergy and weather forecasts. The App operates by changing screen background depending the season of the allergy.
2. Safety guidelines for mHealth application:
The guidelines for mHealth App necessitate assessment in 4 crucial areas. The app should run in a way that gives sensible user experience. The app should also protect the information of the user. This entails protection of medical information in full conformity to all applicable rules and regulations. Another area of assessment is whether the app is safeguarded from external dangers. And finally the assessment should focus on whether the information the app provides accurate and current information.
3. How to interpret and act on the information in the mHealth application:
mHealth apps are developed to offer services relating to health for the user. For the Allergy Alert App, the interpretation is made based on the changes on the screen background. The App employ symptoms score test to examine the disease status in patients. The information obtained from the App can inform the patients on how to react to exacerbations of asthma.
