3. What should be the primary key for the STORE table? (1pt)
Answer: STORE_CODE
4. What should be the primary key for the REGION table? (1pt)
Answer: REGION_CODE
5. What does entity integrity mean? Define the term entity integrity. (1pt)
Answer: Entity integrity is giving each row in a table a unique identity. The definition of entity integrity is the
condition in which each row (entity instance) in the table has its own unique identity.
6. Does the EMPLOYEE table exhibit entity integrity? Answer yes/no. (1pt) Explain why or why not (2pts). Be
specific and do not repeat the definition from question 5 but apply it to the EMPLOYEE table.
Answer: The EMPLOYEE table does protrude entity integrity, although some of the values are the same, each row is
easily identifiable just by using the field name for example the EMP_CODE and EMP_LNAME easily define the
rows however, two of the rows do have null values which is essentially a blank spot.
7. Does the STORE table exhibit entity integrity? Answer yes/no. (1pt) Explain why or why not (2pts). Be specific and
do not repeat the definition from question 5 but apply it to the STORE table.
Answer: Yes the STORE table does exhibit entity integrity the STORE_CODE easily makes each row unique of each
other hence why it was added.
8. Does the REGION table exhibit entity integrity? Answer yes/no. (1pt). Explain why or why not (2pts). Be specific
and do not repeat the definition from question 5 but apply it to the REGION table [Show Less]
