memory section to see a list of RAM sticks installed in your current system. Simply click
the stick you would like to see information about and it will be displayed on the right.
2. List three reasons you might use HWiNFO when troubleshooting or upgrading
your computer:
Answer: it’s a simple way to get detailed specs on your machine for choosing the right
replacement parts. It has information about proprietary parts that could be helpful for
trouble shooting. And it has an extensive overview of your entire computer with easy
access that could save you a lot of waisted research time.
3. What is one advantage of using the portable version instead of the Windows
version of the HWiNFO utility?
Answer: In the case that you are trouble shooting a bunch of machines that may or may
not have access to the internet, having a portable version to boot up would be quick and
convenient.

computer, can you enter BIOS setup after the system has booted?
*NOTE* I used a BIOS simulator (Located here https://www.grssoftware.de/sims/bios/phoenix/pages/) to answer the questions in this lab because I didn’t
have access to an actual computer with a BIOS.
