The first article is by Fontenot et al., 2018 which discusses the issue of income and poverty in the U.S. The article outlines how the American Bureau of Census gathered information about income and poverty estimates. According to the authors, the data has enabled the Bureau to evaluate the national economic trend and comprehend their effects on the lives of individuals, families and households. This article clearly outlines the forecast for both poverty and income trends in the U.S from 1959 to 2018. The article also focuses on the reflection of the implementation of the U.S income and poverty trends.
The second article is by Daniel (2022) which focuses on the U.S economic forecast in the second quarter of the year 2022. The article focuses on examining the possibility of the U.S economic recession increasing due to the factors caused by the supply chain crisis, covid 19 effects and the Russian Ukraine wars. The article focuses on analysing and forecasting the recession that has affected the U.S economy. According to the forecast trend, the recession is likely to decline by the end of 2022 or early next year. This is likely to decrease both the short and long-term interest rates.
The third article gives an outline of the problems associated with both the long-term and short-term interest rates. Smialek 2021 in this article explores the aspect of the economy by investigating the underlying trends in inflation in alignment with the vice chairperson of the Federal Reserve, Richard Clarida. According to the author of this article, the inflation rates are significantly increasing and the government should put necessary measures to address the underlying inflation trends.
All these three articles address the economic aspects of the U.S economy by investigating both the short and long-term interest rates trends. Fontenot et al., 2018, clearly outline the forecast for both poverty and income trends in the U.S from 1959 to 2018.
