Walmart’s code of ethics covers the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) laid out in 38 pages. Their CSR cover topics like discrimination and harassment prevention, inappropriate conduct, fair competition and fair dealing, inside trading, product and food safety, and international trade. Other topics include anti-corruption, alcohol and drug free workplace, raising ethic concerns, and non-retaliation. In addition, Walmart’s code of ethics covers many more topics. Included on the document are the global ethics helpline numbers for all 60 countries where they have an operation and a dedicated website for compliance. To conclude, Walmart has a very thorough code of ethics that covers almost every aspect of CSR.

Walmart’s code of ethics covers the topic of compliance with legal mandates. The topics cover anti-corruption, antitrust, commercial bribery, conflict of interest, environmental laws, equal employment opportunity, fraud, financial integrity, and government contracts. Other topics also cover lobbying, illegal activities, inside trading, investigations, local laws, money laundering, political activities, raising concerns, reporting violations, retaliation, trade secrets, and trade secrets. Walmart also included immediate reportable criteria such as bribery, officer misconduct, fraud or theft greater than $100,000 and involving an associate, incorrect records and accounts, information system hacking and global corporate brand reputation risks. All in all, compliance with legal mandates is strongly covered in their code of ethics.
