Project Management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project
activities to meet the project requirements.
Phases of Project Management
The phases of Project Management are as follows:

Skills Needed To Manage a Project
Following skills are needed to manage the project of construction of hostel building block:
a. Identify outcomes and deliverables
b. Devise a sequence to achieve the goals
c. Recognize when the outcomes will be achieved

(INITIATION PHASE)
The Initiation Process consists of those processes performed to define a new project or a new
phase of an existing project by obtaining agreement to start the project or phase. Within the
initiating processes, the initial scope is defined and initial financial resources are committed.
Internal and external stakeholders who will interact and influence the overall outcome of the
project are identified. Or in simple word we can say that in this first phase of the project the
project charter and the stakeholders are identified.
INTRODUCTION
Purpose of Project Management Plan

iii. Project Location: Site near Expo Center, Johar Town, Lahore
AARTH Constructions is a reliable company in construction industry. It is an association of
persons. It has been active in construction business for about a decade. The main aim of this
company is to fulfill the needs of customers and satisfy them by providing the best possible
outcome. We provide our customer what they require at a reasonable price.
Recently our company signed a contract of construction of a hostel for students in Johar Town
with University of Central Punjab. The university floats a contract about the new hostel
construction with specific requirements. For this purpose our company is chosen considering our
reliable image in the market at a reasonable cost. The duration decided for this project is two
years with a building consisting of 100 rooms and two floors. And the budget allocation for this
project is thirty million rupees 30,000,000. All this description is written in the contract and both
of the parties signed this agreement.
