Relationship between the people within an organization is essential to attain and in driving the needed activities geared towards meeting the goals at the individual, departmental, and organizational level. Organizational chart significantly helps in presenting the relationship between people in an organization (Oregon, 2008). This paper presents the organization chart of Google Company. The paper focuses on the key leaders and the roles they play in meeting the company mission. The paper delves on how the leaders' responsibilities tie to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Google Company is widely known as a significant key player in the widespread growth in the use of technology in the twenty-first century (Hamen & Google, 2011). The company is driven by the mission of organizing the world's information and subsequently making it accessible and usable globally with a commitment to improving the lives of as many people as the company can be able to do (GC, n.d). Various leaders play significant roles to ensure that the Google Company achieves its mission and vision and to uphold the core values. Google's organizational chart is divided into three, the administrative, executive, and operational level, which present the significant functions executed by various personnel in the company.

Firstly, the administrative level occupies the highest position in the company (Hamen & Google, 2011). The level is composed of the various personnel who majorly perform the company's administrative duties. The administrators are often selected individual staff of the extensive experience and capability to meet the vision of the company (GCH, n.d). The Google chairman is the topmost administrator of the company. The chairman is mandated with the responsibility of providing leadership to the board and handling of broader tasks such as the establishment of business partnerships. Again, the Google chairman assist in the promotion of positive relationship and open communication between Google company board members and the other management team (Hamen & Google, 2011). The chairman is also responsible for ensuring that the strategies adopted by the board in meeting the mission of Google Company are effectively executed by the Chief Executive Officer (GCH, n.d). The chairman has a significant role in ensuring that the company attains proper corporate governance practices and that their values of the company, such as high integrity are upheld at the board level and throughout the company.
The Google chairman is hierarchically followed by the president of the company who sole responsibility is to ensure that the company is working towards achieving its mission and vision through adoption and execution of the right policies and procedures (GCH, n.d). Subsequently, the vice chairman of Google comes into the picture and also assists both the chairman and the president in the administrative roles and overseeing of the specific function that ensures the profitability of the company. The Chief Executive Officer of Google has defined duties that have a significant influence on the administrative responsibilities undertaken at the company (Hamen & Google, 2011). The CEO undertakes the daily running of the company. The CEO ensures that the day-to-day operations of the company are undertaken following the plans and the budget approved by the board (GCH, n.d). The role played by the CEO is essential in ensuring that the company is running according to the original plan, and no deviations are made hence achieving the mission and vision of the company made possible.
Again, the CEO at Google Company is responsible for the provision of reports to the top administrators (Hamen & Google, 2011). Reporting is essential in tracking the progress of the company in meeting the objectives and overall mission and vision. Communication also forms a vital component needed for progress (GCH, n.d). The CEO strives to create excellent communication and relationship between the company management and other stakeholders that include the possible shareholders. The CEO has some junior administrators who help in the implementation of the policies and strategies approved by the board. For instance, the information technology director assists in the execution of the function that needs the technological expertise. The director ensures that he undertakes the duties as given by the CEO (GCH, n.d). The Google Company Chief Technical officer also makes a vital administrative role and works for hand in hand with the information technology director in ensuring that Google Company meets the technological efficiency that the user or consumers of the products demand daily.
Subsequently, the Management Information Systems Director is crucial in helping the company to attain the needed stability and smooth operation through effective information technology (GCH, n.d). The director oversees the IT activities essential in meeting the company objectives. The company has a Chief Information Officer who also plays a vital administrative role by supervising the events that are required in organizing the world's information and subsequently making it accessible and usable to people around the globe (GCH, n.d). Google's vice president, senior manager, and the administrative head equally perform the significant administrative role for the company and always follow the directives form the senior officers and undertake duties and function that has been approved and is geared toward meeting the mission of the Google Company.
Notably, Executive Google company level is the second category of leadership at the company. The professional at this level undertakes various executive functions (GCH, n.d). For instance, the Information technology manager is the team leader of the IT department and handles the professionals working in the department. The IT manager ensures that the staff in the department undertakes their functions effectively in meeting the departmental objective and the overall mission of the Google Company. Network architect also plays essential executive duties. The architect oversees the establishment and maintenance of proper network designs at the Google Company. The network is a crucial requirement for property delivery of the service at Google hence the architect brings together and manages a group of personnel who ensures that the networks and extensions to networks are expertly designed (Hamen & Google, 2011). The executive level of the company has a hardware systems manager who manages the personnel that handles various hardware functions in the company (GCH, n.d). The manager ensures that the professionals at the department undertake their duties effectively for the good of the department and the company as a whole.
Subsequently, the company executive level is composed of the head of the programming department. The manager is essential in leading the team of programmers in the company. Chief marketing officer at the department also assists in the various marketing of Google's products hence ensuring that the clients and target markets across the globe are reaches and expertly served. The chief sales officers also lead a te4eam of sales personnel that help in selling the company products and services. The Google Company has a head of engineering that manages a team of engineers. The team is mandated with handling various functions that require engineering skills for effective achievement of the company mission (GCH, n.d). Auditing is another essential function that enables the company to have a clear picture of its performance. Thus, the company has an auditor who leads various auditing function on the firm's financial and operational records and provides reports to other executive and administrative leaders.
Operational Google company level is the final hierarchical level at the company. The level consists mainly of the individual professional who undertakes a pre-specified role in the company depending on the area of their specialization and skills. Some of the professionals within the Google Company include engineers with various specialties such as the application engineer, network engineer, telecommunication engineer, and software engineer who work in the relevant departments to meet the desired goals. The company also has technicians, technology associate, and analysts who offer their technical expertise to help the company perform its functions effectively (GCH, n.d). Network and systems administrator is other vital professionals to the Google company who ensure that the company systems and networks function appropriately. Prominently, the company embraces training and empowers young graduates through a program that are designed to help the trainees to acquire relevant skills in various departments within the company.
In conclusion, the Google company organizational chart provides a clear presentation of the key leaders that are vital to the company. The leaders have various reasons why they do what they do. The multiple roles played by the leaders are all geared towards attaining the mission and vision of the company. Even though the leaders operate at different departments, hierarchical levels, and have diverse expertise, they all contribute to the achievement of the overall Google Company goal.
