It has experience in serving small to mid-tier businesses, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. Company headquarters, located in Baltimore, Maryland, runs 2 satellite locations in Herndon, Virginia and Bethesda, Maryland and employs 400 people under the guidance of President and Chief Executive Officer, Alvin Morrison. CIC concentrates on providing consulting services in the following areas: Business Process Consulting, IT Consulting, and IT Outsourcing Consulting. Mr. Morrison believes that the best way for the company to move forward and more importantly, stay successful, is to provide amazing consulting services by hiring extraordinary employees.
CIC should use a talent management system such as an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to execute the hiring process. It is efficient and though some of the systems cost a pretty penny, there are systems that do not require payment such as Jobscore, SmartRecruiters, and ZOHO Recruit. CIC will be able to try these systems for zero cost and if effective, it will continue to use the free system or upgrade to a bigger system. A talent management system will make the hiring process quick and easy to manage.

The company’s strategy is to provide the best consulting and recommendation services by hiring employees that are not only at the top of their profession but, are aware of new technology and concepts or those that can develop new concepts and techniques of their own to help progress to a higher level. This hiring system will not only ensure success, it will also help them stay successful for years to come.

CIC provides consultants on-site delivering a wide range on IT-related work for their clients. It relies heavily on quality of work and expertise to satisfy customer needs. It hires on a “just in time” hiring situation and hires based on necessity and anticipated contracts. By using a hiring system that is pinpointing quality and expertise, it will continue to have these employees when the contracts come in vice trying to hire someone at the last minute and downgrading on the quality of work the company would like to have and give them an advantage over companies that do not require precision and quality.

Increase CIC business development by winning new contracts in the areas of IT consulting. Increase marketing efforts in all the CIC locations within 1 year by pitching local commercials, handing out flyers, and handling social media accounts. CIC is known for producing quality work by increasing the marketing efforts. Companies would be more inclined to inquire about CIC consulting history.
Build a cadre of consultants internationally to provide remote research and analysis support to CIC's onsite teams in the U.S. Increase international recruiting efforts and employ 5 research analysts within the next 12 months. The new hiring system would allow applicants from around the world to apply online, increasing the number of international applicants. It would enable the recruiters to carefully monitor the applications for these positions, identify the necessary research and analysis skills needed, and screen resumes for these key skills. Recruiters could quickly view the number of applicants and identify when additional recruiting efforts are needed to meet the objectives.
Continue to increase CIC's ability to quickly provide remote high-quality consultants to awarded contracts to best serve the client's needs. Recruit and hire quality employees and start a quality training plan for the employees at the satellite locations immediately after the hiring system is up and running. Having quality staff members will give CIC the ability to quickly respond to new awarded contracts. Providing quality training to the existing employees on a regular basis will keep CIC business practices and new innovative techniques flowing across the company.
Increase CIC's competitive advantage in the IT consulting marketplace by increasing its reputation for having IT consultants who are highly skilled in leading edge technology and innovative solutions for its clients.
