One way to help build a relationship with your FTA, is to get to know them. Talk to the dispatcher, talk to the business manager. Have open
meaningful communication with the instructors and the personnel who work there. IMy FTA had an open meet and greet the night, where they were having a small cookout. Attend events like this on a more personal level to get to know them as a person and not just a school.

Major General Allen knew his enemy. While fighting in Africa he learned that the Germans were ferocious opponents. So with this knowledge, he took an innovative approach to the training of the soldiers. General Allen insisted that the men be trained at night, so they conducted nightly maneuvers and exercises. One of the ways he used to prevent high casualties was to have his men put away their bullets and to fix bayonets and pack grenades. As they were fighting at night if they heard a gun go off they would know it was the Germans.
